What is a Packer and How to Use One

What is a Packer and How to Use One

What is a Packer and How to Use One

If you’re reading this, you’re probably wanting to learn more information about packers and dildo packers. We’re happy to see you here! Whether you are trans yourself or wanting to learn more about what trans individuals use for gender affirmation.

So, what is a packer? And what the heck are they used for? Are they just like regular sex toys or are they intended for something else?

These are all great questions when researching packers, packer dildos, and trans gear in general!

Essentially, packers are phallic shaped objects, usually made out of silicone, which can be placed in the wearer’s underwear to simulate the look of having a penis. It is particularly used by folks in the transmasculine community, however, it is also popularly used by drag kings and gender non-conforming and gender fluid individuals wanting to experiment with certain looks to combat gender dysphoria. Ultimately, packers are great for anyone wanting to try out the look of carrying a penis. How fun!

Choosing Your Packer

To choose the right packer for you, you’ll want to hone in on the correct color for your body, as well as what style of packer you would like. Because packers can be both firm and soft, it is important to consider what you’ll be using your packer for and when you’ll be using it. Will you be using it just to wear or will you be having sex with it? All important questions to consider!

Here at Wet for Her, we carry a variety of packers and packer dildos for you to choose from!

There’s enough choices to make everyone happy. We include packers with a firm core, soft packer, firm packers, and all our packers and packer dildos are made from 100% medical grade silicone and are phthalate and paraben free. Here are some great options if you’re looking to make your first (or even second!) packer purchase.

Sailor Soft Skin Packer

Our signature packer, the Sailor soft skin is a great option for beginners and fits seamlessly into most underwear. With an incredibly realistic look and feel, this packer is sure to make you do a double take.

Shilo Silicone Pack N’ Play Dildo

Simply adjust with packing holster underwear or use intimately with a partner with one of our strap-on harnesses.

How to Pack

Okay, so you purchased your first packer. Now what? Well, it’s time to get packing, that’s what! Packing may have a learning curve for some, but overall, it becomes second nature, just like putting on a certain article of clothing everyday. To pack in the most comfortable and efficient way possible, we recommend using underwear that is not too loose fitting or too tight. We want to make sure it’s just the right size for you and your new best friend. I find boxer briefs to be exceptionally helpful since they already keep all the good stuff in and secure. Simply place your packer inside your chosen underwear, adjust to your visual liking, and go on into the world!

I know what you’re thinking, can it really be that easy? Well, like I said, there may be a learning curve for some, but generally, packing is simple once you’re able to adjust the packer and keep it in place. I think that may be the only thing you should worry about, but even then, most packers stay in place once you have them configured to your preference.

However! If you’re vying for some extra comfort and ease, feel free to look into packing underwear

Packing underwear is exactly what it sounds like: underwear meant to help keep packers and packer dildos in place. There’s plenty of great options available but we recommend our STP and Packer holster which is a great option to use for both STPs (stand to pee devices) and packers alike. With it’s convenient holster and natural feel like underwear, this is sure to be the most convenient option for both novice and experienced packers!

Now that you got the hang of packing, your best bet is to practice wearing your packer wherever you go. Practicing wearing outside takes confidence and reassurance, so remember to be kind and gentle with yourself when you’re first starting out with a new packer. My recommended places to practice wearing include

  1. The park: You can choose to be alone and maybe go on a walk and start practicing wearing your new buddy around.
  2. Around your house: This is the safest and easiest place to practice wearing it.
  3. The grocery store: Learning to run errands and go about your day to day is important and can help you build up the confidence for wearing your packer somewhere a little more vulnerable, such as at the beach or the pool.

Congrats!

You now know the basic essentials of packing! We hope this little guide proved to be effective for you. Remember to always own your gender and sexual identity to the fullest extent. And if packing becomes a little overwhelming at first, remember to take breaks or make adjustments as you go. Good luck and happy packing!
