Fact or Myth: The G-Spot

A neon sign that says G-spot with a female symbol for the letter O

To G, or not to G, that is the question

Perhaps one of the most controversial debates on female anatomy is the Grafenberg Spot, otherwise known as the G-Spot. Yes, it is named after a man.

Indeed, one of the more confusing instructions in the sexual realm is how to find and stimulate the G-Spot. Some scientists say it exists; others say there's no proof. Some female orgasms are powerfully created by stimulation of the G-Spot, whereas others find it wildly uncomfortable.

Now, we know female ejaculatory orgasms are real. But is that due to the G-Spot or basic female anatomy? Let's dig a little deeper, shall we? After all, everyone at Wet For Her is 100% invested in your sexual health and pleasure.

For the best sex toys for women available, shop at Wet For Her. Whether you're into G-spot stimulation or not, there's a toy to create pleasure for everybody!

A Brief "Herstory"

The study G-Spot Scientifically Identified claims that the G-Spot anatomically exists. Adam Ostrzenski, M.D., Ph.D., of the Institute of Gynecology in St. Petersburg, Florida, states, "This study confirmed the anatomic existence of the G-spot, which may lead to a better understanding and improvement of female sexual function."

Do you feel more educated? Great.

If you're still confused, that's natural. The female body, as stated by crooner John Mayer, "is a wonderland." And the Grafenberg Spot is the labyrinth of that wonderland.

Women have been supplying us with reports of ejaculatory orgasms for centuries

And yet, many of us still scratch our heads, wondering about the what, where, and how. Or are so intimidated by our lack of G-Spot knowledge that we ignore it altogether. Lezbe brave! Lezbe bold!

Founded in Paris, France, in 2009, Wet For Her is a queer-women-led company that exists solely for the lesbian and queer community's pleasure. They offer juicy and informative blogs, instructional videos, high-quality sex toys, lubricants, and more.

The Basics of the G-Spot

Be sure to check in with your lover to check their likes and dislikes. Some women like their Grafenberg Spot stimulated; some don't. Some women report no reaction, while other women like to have this area stimulated after being fully aroused.

And, of course, share the same openness in return.

Sexual health isn't always the sexiest thing to talk about, but it's essential. If you notice that your partner's nails are too long or ragged, offer to give them a quick pre-play manicure.

Or? If you pride yourself on your very luxurious and very expensive bedsheets, grab a towel for this kind of explosive exploration. It can get wonderfully messy.

Come Here

The G-Spot is about an inch inside the vaginal opening, closest to the belly button on the upper vaginal wall. It has a unique texture and is said to feel a bit like the roof of your mouth.

This area of the vagina is small, to begin with, but swells during arousal and is then easier to pinpoint. It's easiest to locate when your partner lies on her back, and you insert one or two fingers with your palm facing up.

Then, stimulate the area by using a "come here" motion, you'll start to feel the tissue swell and your partner moan with delight. If not? Ask what you can do differently, and for heaven's sake, don't be upset if this stimulation isn't to her liking. You can also try small, slow circles if the other motion is too intense or direct.

Embellishments

Once all lights are green, continue what you're doing, add some clitoral stimulation with your mouth and tongue, and then ride out the intense joy of female ejaculation.

Other ways to create sexual arousal while activating the Grafenberg Spot:

  • Stimulate the breasts and nipples
  • Grab or lift her ass with your other hand
  • Whisper sweet nothings, or growl naughty everything to her
  • Glide your other hand up and down her inner thigh
  • Pull her hair as you kiss her
  • Use sex toys if the G-Spot is too uncomfortable to reach naturally or if your partner takes a while to orgasm

Wet For Her has a wide array of toys designed specifically for stimulating the G-Spot. Experiment and have fun! The world of human sexuality is at your skilled fingertips.

What Is This Stuff?

Let's be very, very clear here. This ejaculatory substance produced by female orgasms is not pee/urine. Some women say that they feel like they have to pee during G-Spot stimulation when they don't.

This substance released by the Skene's Glands is not urine as it doesn't come from the bladder. Sometimes, the orgasm can be so intense that your lover might release a small amount of urine. But that's rare and almost unnoticeable.

Finally, female ejaculation is not a universal response to G-Spot stimulation

Your lover can orgasm this way without ejaculating. You didn't do anything wrong! We're all built uniquely, so a one-size-fits-all mode of thinking limits you and your partner.

Vaginal orgasms are wildly varied for some, while other lesbians enjoy a more tried-and-true approach.

Toying Around

A Double-sided dildo from Wet For Her is perfect for stimulating the g-spot.

As mentioned above, Grafenberg Spot stimulation can occur outside the missionary position with more than your hands. There's a myriad of sex toys out there to enjoy. Alone, or together.

Imagine BOTH of you simultaneously stimulating your G-Spots and climaxing together with a vibrating double-dildo. Or finding the perfect angle to make you and your partner orgasm ecstatically with a strap-on.

The sky's the limit at Wet For Her

A company created for women, by women. They're so invested in your orgasms that they have items regularly on sale, as well as an Orgasms Reward System.

Finally, if you have specific questions, Wet For Her offers live chat support. They look forward to chatting with you and helping you to place an order for anything you need between the sheets. To your sexual health!
