Those are a great add on and really do what they should. I would recommend them, especially if you have problems with the strap slipping out.

The idea is really great. The bulbs are quite difficult to put in (but at least they stay in place). I would have preferred it in black, like my Union.

It's really nice to be able to add a little more width to the bulb. However, it can be quite a challenge to put on. Maybe a tiny v/slit on the side would make it easier to slide/pull on.
